A 3 - (3-hidróxi-4-metóxi-benzil) -7- metileno -1- vinil-2,3,3a,4,7,7a-hexahidro-indano- 4 -ona corresponde à fórmula (I): e o 3-(3-hidróxi-4-metóxi-benzil)-4-hidróxi-7metil- I-vinil-indano corresponde à fórmula (II): suas fórmulas estereoisômeras, um processo de obtenção a partir da planta Ottenia alismoides e as composições farmacêuticas que as contêm. As novas substâncias de fórmula (I) ou (II) apresentam propriedades antitumorais e antileucêmicas notáveis.
