Abstract
Patente de Invenção: "COMPOSTO, USO DE COMPOSTOS, COMPOSIÇÃO FARMACÊUTICA E PROCESSO PARA TRATAMENTO DE DOENÇAS INFLAMATÓRIAS EM HOSPEDEIRO". São descritos tetraidrofuranos, tetraidrotiofenos, pirrolidinas e ciclopentanos que reduzem a quimotaxia e ruptura respiratória que leva à formação de radicais de oxigênios nocivos de leucócitos polimorfonucleares durante uma reação inflamatória ou imunológica. Os compostos apresentam esta atividade biológica por atuarem como antagonistas dos receptores de PAF, por inibir a enzima 5-lipoxigenase, ou por apresentar uma atividade dupla, isto é, por atuar tanto como antagonistas de receptores de PAF como inibidores de 5-lipoxigenase. Foi determinado que a atividade de 5-lipoxigenase, a disponibilidade oral, a estabilidade in vivo (taxa de glicuronidação, por exemplo) podem variar significativamente de um isômero ótico dos compostos descritos para outro.
