Abstract
"INSTRUMENTO PARA TRANSPORTE DE GENE ACIONADO POR GÁS". Um equipamento acionado a gás (10) para acelerar partículas (16) revestidas com um material genético ao interior de um alvo, inclui um reservatório (12) para reter de forma liberável um gás a uma pressão suficientemente elevada para destacar as partículas da superfície de um cartucho (14) de amostra e para carrear as partículas através do equipamento (10) para o alvo. Ao deixar o equipamento (10), as partículas (16) retidas na corrente de gás passam através de um bico (24) de saída substancialmente cônico que leva o padrão de distribuição das partículas e se expandir grandemente. São também descritos métodos para uso do aparelho e para a preparação dos cartuchos de amostra(14).
