Abstract
A invenção revela um processo para a preparação de corantes azo utilizando-se uma aminodifenilamina como componente diazo. O processo compreende reagir continuamente a amina, um nitrito de metal alcalino e um ácido mineral na faixa de temperatura de 35 a 65°C para produzir o composto diazo, utilizando-se um excesso de 3 a 15% de nitrito de metal alcalino, e posteriormente acoplando o composto diazo a um componente acoplador. Obtêm-se corantes azo de constância qualitativa superior e elevado rendimento, por meio deste processo.
