Abstract
Patente de Invenção "PROCESSO PARA A PRODUÇÃO DE UMA LIGA A BASE DE ALUMÍNIO APERFEIÇOADA; LIGA FORJADA A BASE DE ALUMÍNIO; E RECIPIENTE PARA CONTER MATERIAL CRIOGÊNICO". É descrito um processo para a produção de ligas alumínio - cobre - lítio que apresentam melhor resistência a fratura em temperaturas criogênicas. As melhores propriedades criogênicas são conseguidas pelo controle da composição da liga, juntamente com parâmetros de processamento tais como a quantidade de trabalho a frio e envelhecimento artificial. A capacidade de manter resitência a fratura substancialmente igual ou maior na temperatura criogênica em comparação à temperatura ambiente permite o uso das ligas em tanques criogênicos para veículos espaciais e similares.
