Abstract
Patente de Invenção "PROCESSO PARA CONVERTER UM RADICAL ÁLCOOL NA AZIDA CORRESPONDENTE COM INVERSÃO S~ N~2 E, COMPOSTO". É descrito um processo para converter um álcool em uma azida com inversão S~ N~2 usando uma fosforil-azida, por exemplo difenil-fosforil-azida (DPPA). Podem ser obtidos bons rendimentos de azida com elevado excesso enanciomérico especificamente para álcoois benzílicos alfa-hidróxi-alquilésteres. O processo é realizado preferivelmente na temperatura ambiente em um solvente eprótico seco e inerte, por exemplo tolueno, e na presença de um aceptor de próton, por exemplo 1,8-diazo-biciclo [5.4.0] undec-7-eno (dbu) para proporcionar elevados rendimentos de purezas enanciométricas elevadas.
