Descreve-se um artigo, absorvente dotado de uma parte de corpo principal (22), um par de abas (24) unidas à parte de corpo principal, e um material de desprendimento unitário (57) unido a uma parte de cada uma das abas (24), de forma tal que o material de desprendimento unitário superpõe-se à aba adesiva (56) quando a aba é dobrada ao longo de uma linha de dobra. Cada uma das abas forma um ângulo incluído de cerca de 180° a cerca de 270° em relação ao eixo perpendicular da parte de corpo principal.
