A invenção refere-se a um catalisador para a fabricação de gás de síntese (CO E H~ 2~) por meio da reacção com CO~ 2~ E CH~ 4~ e/ou outros hidrocarbonetos leves constituídos de um material de suporte com pelo menos 80% em peso de ZRO~ 2~ dos grupos Y, LA, AL, CA, CE E SI, bem como de um recobrimento com metais do grupo VIII, aplicado fisicamente por meio de adsorção.
