É fornecido um processo para isolamento de cefaclor de uma mistura de reação de acilação por adição de ácido antraquinona-1,5-dissulfônico à mistura. O ácido precipita de forma altamente seletiva com cefaclor de modo que o isolamento e a recuperação são eficientes.
