Sistema e processo para dialise peritoneal estabelecem comunicação de fluxo entre a cavidade de peritoneal do paciente (conector de tubo (35)) e um dreno (conector de tubo (29)) através de uma câmara de bomba (P1, P2) tendo regiões superior e inferior em geral espaçadas entre si verticalmente (orifícios superiores (64), orifícios inferiores (66) e um diafragma (59, 61). Os sistemas e processos operam a câmara de bomba, com as regiões superior e inferior orientadas em geral verticalmente, mediante aplicação de fluido do diafrgama (59, 61). Os sistemas de processos direcionam o líquido para a cavidade peritoneal do paciente apenas a partir da região inferior da câmara de bomba.
