O segmento (20) para um dispositivo de iluminação de linha que possui uma série de lâmpadas fluorescentes tubulares (2) e de lâmpadas fluorescentes compactas de uma só extremidade (3) instaladas em alternância de encontro a um suporte (1) compreende um perfil em formato de U (21) no qual ficam acomodados componentes elétricos (24) para fornecimento de energia às lâmpadas. Os componentes acham-se presentes em um recipiente aberto (30) que pode ser acoplado ao perfil (21) em uma maneira à prova d'água. O recipiente (30) pode ser preso a um retentor (40) destinado a ser instalado de encontro a um suporte (1) do dispositivo de iluminação. O segmento (20) permite uma instalação rápida e fácil do dispositivo de qualquer comprimento e uma fácil substituição de componentes.
