Um produto de Koch funcionalizado que é o produto reacional de pelo menos um polímero possuindo um peso molecular numérico médio de pelo menos 500 e pelo menos uma ligação dupla etilênica por cadeia polimérica, com monóxido de carbono e um agente de captura nucleofílico. Esta invenção inclui polímero funcionalizado, derivados do mesmo, e processos para a preparação do mesmo.
