Patente de Invenção:"MANCAL TENDO ALMOFADAS SEPARADAS E MÉTODOS PARA FAZER O MESMO". Um mancal hidrodinâmico de escoram apoio ou radial e de escora combinado e métodos para fazer o mesmo. O mancal inclui uma estrutura de almofada de mancal (132) que pode mudar de forma e se mover em qualquer direção (seis graus de liberdade) para otimizar a formação de cunha convergente para operação hidrodinâmica, equalização de cargas nas almofadas de mancal em mancais de escora e para ajustar-se em relação a algum desalinhamento do eixo. A almofada de mancal pode ser formada de modo a contactar o eixo no estado instalado e para defletir sob pressão de película fluida. A almofada pode ter ranhuras rebaixadas (132u)
