Patente de Invenção de "ARTIGO ABSORVENTE E ABSORVENTE FEMININO". A presente invenção refere-se a artigos absorventes tais como absorventes femininos, revestimentos de calcinhas e chumaços de incontinência. Mais particularmente, a presente invenção refere-se a artigos absorventes tais como absorventes femininos, que possuem componentes de borda lateral longitudinal (52) que envolvem naturalmente os lados (22) de uma calcinha de usuária, que proporciona uma alternativa para abas laterais convencionais. Os componentes de borda lateral são extensíveis e podem ser presos por dentro das bordas longitudinais do corpo pincipal do artigo ou antão ser desacoplados em relação ao corpo principal, ou compreender parte da folha de forro impermeável do corpo principal.
