Abstract
Patente de Invenção de "MATERIAL MODIFICADO, MATERIAL ANTI-MICROBIANO MODIFICADO, MÉTODOS PARA FORMAR UM MATERIAL MODIFICADO CONTENDO UM OU MAIS METAIS E PARA FORMAR UM REVESTIMENTO ANTIMICROBIANO E DISPOSITIVO MÉDICO", sendo que os revestimentos são formados depositando um metal biocompatível por técnicas de deposição de vapor para produzir desordem atômica no revestimento de modo a atingir-se uma liberação sustentada de íons metálicos suficiente para produzir um efeito antimicrobiano. Condições de deposição preferidas para atingir-se desordem atômica incluem uma temperatura de substrato abaixo do normal, e um ou mais dentre uma pressão de gás de trabalho acima do normal e um ângulo de incidência de fluxo de revestimento abaixo do normal. Pós antimicrobianos formados por trabalho mecânico para produzir desordem atômica também são providos. A invenção estende-se a outros revestimentos e pós metálicos similarmente formados para prover solubilidade aumetada.
