Trata-se de um filtro para combustível que compreende um corpo (1), com bocal (3) para admissão de combustível (5), e uma tampa (2) com bocal (4) para saída de combustível (11), o filtro (1, 2) assim constituído admitindo no seu interior um elemento filtrante tubular (8) de metal (bronze) poroso, sendo que o combustível penetra (pela ação na bomba de combustível) pela periferia (12) do elemento tubular filtrante (8) para o interior (7) do mesmo, saindo (11) livre de impurezas pela saída (4). Um sistema de fixação (9) qualquer une a tampa (2) ao corpo (1) do filtro, este podendo ser fabricado preferivelmente em polietileno.
