Abstract

É descrita uma composição aquosa para o pré-curtimento de couro, caracterizada pelo fato de conter (a) um sacarídeo redutivo com um equivalente de dextrose de 10 até 100 e (b) um dialdeído alifático contendo 2 até 8 átomos de carbono, e de ser isenta de sais minerais. O couro (couro "Wet-White") tratado com a composição aquosa de acordo com a invenção presta-se, de modo excelente, para ulterior processamento, particularmente para a preparação de couros que são isentos de metais pesados.
