Um processo para produzir uma composição bactericida e fungicida, estável, que consiste essencialmente em borbulhar ar ou oxigênio em limoneno, para produzir um limoneno oxidado com atividade bactericida rápida conforme evidenciado pela capacidade de matar substancialmente todas as bactérias em um meio de cultura adequado inoculado com unidades formadoras de colônia 10^ 6^ de Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 por ml e o produto produzido desse modo.
