Abstract

Géis preparados a partir de 100 partes de copolímeros de tribloco de estireno-elastômero-estireno e mais de 300 partes de um óleo que amolece e estende o elastômero a meio bloco do copolímero, tornam-se resistentes à exsudação de óleo sob pressão mediante a incorporação de um copolímero de dibloco de estireno-elastômero. Os triblocos preferidos são os de estireno-etileno/butileno-estireno, e os diblocos preferidos são os de estireno-etileno/propileno. É apresentado o emprego de géis como selantes em invólucros para conexões elétricas destinadas a manter o gel sob compressão.
