Uma pilha alcalina (10) aperfeiçoada de excelente qualidade equipada com um anodo de zinco pulverizado e um coletor de corrente anódica (20) é obtido pela utilização de um coletor de corrente anódica (20) de metal foraminoso. Este coletor permite que a energia seja recebida destas pilhas que não poderia ser recebida se fossem usados coletores convencionais.
