Abstract

A invenção refere-se a um processo para o tratamento biológico de material essencialmente sólido, tal como refugo de frutas, vegetais e jardins, pelo qual o material é tratado sucessivamente num tanque de hidrólise e em um reator anaeróbico de metano, e pelo menos uma parte dos sólidos emitidos do tanque de hidrólise é tratado em um segundo reator anaeróbico com pelo menos um microorganismo da flora da pança de ruminantes; o material solúvel líquido produzido no segundo reator é adicionalmente tratado no reator de metano. O material é preferívelmente pré-tratado mecânicamente em um incinerador. A invenção, adicionalmente, proporciona um aparelho para executar este processo.
