Abstract
Trata-se de um novo processo para síntese do antibiótico macrolídio diritromicina em forma cristalina. O processo é levado a efeito em um único vaso de reação, por meio do qual um acetal dissolvido em acetonitrila, na presença de um catalisador ácido, é hidrolisado formado o hemiacetal correspondente, o qual reage então diretamente com eritromicilamina, para formar diritromicina cristalina.
