Abstract
Descreve-se um retentor de capa único para uso em uma junta universal de velocidade constante que inclui uma pluralidade de abas resilientes circunferencialmente espaçadas se estendendo radialmente para o interior. As abas se prendem em uma ranhura em uma superfície periférica externa de uma pista de rolamento externa para prover um encontro positivo, adequadamente posicionando o retentor e a capa em relação à pista de rolamento externa. A construção única simplifica a montagem da capa e do retentor na pista de rolamento externa. São descritas diversas realizações.
