Abstract

É preparado um aglutinante fenólico para fibras de vidro usando uma mistura aquosa que inclui uma resina de resol fenol-formaldeído, modificada com uréia na presença de amônia. A uréia e a amônia são adicionadas depois que foi neutralizada a mistura básica que inclui a resina de resol. A resina de resol uréia-modificada apresenta maior estabilidade do que as resinas uréia-modificadas preparadas sem amônia.
