O processo descrito nesta patente de invenção oferece uma alternativa tecnicamente eficaz na lixiviação e extração de ouro em materiais de fontes geológicas ou industriais. Este processo está baseado de dissolução de ouro pela utilização de uma solução ácida, que contém tiouréia, obedecendo a parâmetros controlados de pH, potencial de oxi-redução, granulometria do material, temperatura, tempo de reação e relação sólido: líquido.
