Abstract
São descritos processos aperfeiçoados para a formação de elastômeros de uretano e prepolímeros de uretano correspondentes nos quais diisocianato e diol de baixo peso molecular são simultaneamente misturados e reagidos entre sí para formarem um segmento duro que é subseqúentemente reagido com um diol de cadeia longa para formar o elastômero. Diisocianatos alifáticos são particularmente desejáveis para a fabricação de lentes de contato a partir dos prepolímeros de uretano desta invenção.
