Um copolímero metacrilato-maleimida resistente a calor em temperatura elevada, tendo pelo menos 90 por cento em peso de monômero metacrilato de metila e até cerca de 10 por cento em peso de monômero maleimida para formar um copolímero resistente às intempéries, límpido, tendo temperaturas de transição vítrea de cerca de 105°C a cerca de 131°C, e um processo de fabricação dos copolímeros através de um processo de polimerização em massa de conversão extremamente elevada.
