Abstract
Uma célula de fusão redutora de alumínio, compreendendo um fundo definindo uma superfície catódica (4), que é substancialmente horizontal na direção longitudinal de um ânodo sobrejacente (1), as estruturas perfiladas (2,3) projetando-se da superfície catódica (4), e tendo expostas superfícies de material molhado com alumínio, as estruturas perfiladas sendo posicionadas para causar um contorno preferencial do ânodo (1), particularmente nas suas arestas longitudinais (5, 6), para permitir uma liberação aperfeiçoada de bolhas, e para minimizar a resistividade da célula.
