Abstract
Para a preparação de poli-i-olefinas, especialmente de polietileno, aplica-se um catalisador de Ziegler, cujo componente de metal de transição foi preparado pela reação de um composto de metal de transição do titânio, zircônio, vanádio ou do cromo com uma dispersão tipo gel de um alcoolato de magnésio. Como co-catalisador serve um composto de organoalumínio. Os polímeros são obtidos em rendimento elevado até muito elevado e tem-se a possibilidade de controle da distribuição de tamanhos de partícula dos polímeros.
