A parte descartável te uma câmara valvular (63) e uma membrana flexivel (65), que pode selar uma boca (64) que está localizada sobre uma protuberância na câmara. A parte descartável é sujeita por um dispositivo (68) que utiliza um gás de controle para aplicar pressão à membrana flexível (65). A parte descartável também pode ter uma câmara de condução de pressão (71), que pode ser usada para medir a taxa de fluxo de líquido através da parte descartável.
