Abstract
Esta invenção é para a produção de metil etil cetona (MEC) a partir de butenos normais, misturados utilizando oxidantes de polioxoanion em uma solução aquosa, catalisados por paládio e preferivelmente contendo quantidades menores de íon de cloreto dissolvido. Um fluxo de MEC intermediário é hidrogenado para remover quantidades residuais de butiraldeído a partir do fluxo de MEC de produto.
