Abstract
Numa bomba de anel de líquido que possui um revestimento rotativo dentro de uma carcaça estacionária para auxiliar a reduzir as perdas por fricção de fluido, pelo menos uma extremidade, e, de preferência, ambas as extremidades do revestimento estão parcialmente fechadas para conter mais completamente o anel de líquido a fim de reduzir ainda mais as perdas por fricção de fluido.
