Abstract
UNIDADE FLUTUANTE GERADORA DE ENERGIA - UFGE, constituída de um flutuante com formato especial (1), contendo em seu interior um canal convergente-divergente (4) para amplificar a energia cinética de água admitida. A enegia cinética em seu maior nível, é transformada, parcialmente, através de uma turbina hidráulica (2) com palhetas especiais (8), em energia mecânica. Essa energia mecânica é então, transmitida para um gerador de energia elétrica (3). Um sistema pneumático ou hidráulico controla a área das palhetas, permitindo a turbina manter sua velocidade de rotação e, consequentemente a frequência da corrente gerada, mesmo ocorrendo variações nas cargas aplicadas na turbina ou no gerador.
