Abstract
São descritos processos e composições para que seja retardado o endurecimento, à temperatura ambiente, de resinas fenólicas de resol, quando tais resinas são misturadas com óxido de magnésio levemente calcinado, com ou sem um agente de endurecimento com funcionalidade éster. Compostos, que atuam como retardadores, incluem o ácido azelaico, a salicilamida, o ácido sulfanílico, o glioxal, o ácido salicílico, a N-metilanilina e a 2,6-dietilanilina.
