Abstract
Zinco é recuperado por fundição em um forno de uma massa contendo óxidos de zinco e ferro, um material fundente de formação de escória e um material carbonáceo, o teor de material carbonáceo sendo selecionado de modo a evitar espumamento excessivo. O vapor de zinco produzido é condensado em um condensador (10) tendo uma hélice impulsora (20) e um circuito de resfriamento (30).
