Abstract
Descreve-se um processo eletroquímico e célula eletrolítica para fabricar dióxido de cloro com cloro livre a partir de soluções de clorito de metal alcalino diluído numa única etapa. A célula eletrolítica (10) usa um anódio (14) poroso que permite passagem de fluxo através do mesmo, e um catódio (19) separado por um separador (15) adequado. O anódio (14) poroso, que permite passagem de fluxo através do mesmo, é feito de material com elevado valor de área superficial, e tendo alto valor para a relação entre área da superfície e volume.
