São apresentadas uma instalação modular altamente automatizada e um processo para a cultura contínua de células foto-sintéticas e microorganismos em escala comercialmente grande, incluindo o pré-tratamento de água de cultura automaticamente, cultura em um meio em escoamento contínuo dentro de um conduto horizontalmente disposto, eletronicamente monitorado e regulado e colheita contínua da porção mais concentrada da cultura por meio de um sistema de sedimentação e de secagem que emprega gravidade, centrifugação e energia solar. A água da cultura é conservada e reciclada.
