Mais precisamente trata-se de uma lâmina posicionadora (1), notadamente desenvolvida para facilitar o implante de eletrodos epicárdicos (E) por meio da aderência da superfície da lâmina posicionadora (1) no pericárdio parietal proporcionando uma cirurgia rápida e segura para a estimuIação cardíaca artificial; dita lâmina posicionadora (1) é configurada por uma membrana delgada (2) de superfícies superior (2a) e inferior (2b) planas cujas áreas (A1) e (A2) apresentam espaçamento adequados para a montagem da base (E1) do(s) eletrodo(s) (E), os quais, por sua vez, podem ser montados de forma paralela ou desalinhados entre si.
