Abstract
FERRAMENTA DE ISOLAMENTO. Trata-se de um método de isolamento de uma seção de tubo que compreende situar uma unidade de vedação que tem dois elementos de vedação em um tubo através de uma penetração no tubo, tal como um ramal ou T. A unidade de vedação é, então, posicionada no tubo a jusante da penetração. Os elementos de vedação são ativados com o uso de um mecanismo de ativação primária para engatar a parede do tubo e, então, mantidos em uma condição ativada com o uso de um mecanismo de ativação secundária.
