BAGAÇO HIDROFÓBICO COMO ADSORVENTE DE COMPOSTOS ORGÂNICOS E PROCESSO DE OBTENÇÃO. A presente invenção refere-se ao bagaço hidrofóbico obtido a partir do bagaço de cana-de-açúcar, hidrofílico, biodegradável, renovável, de baixo custo, que após um tratamento térmico transforma-se em um adsorvenie caracterizado por propriedades hidrofóbica e oleofilica com grande afinidade pelos compostos orgânicos. De acordo com a invenção, o bagaço hidrofóbico pode ser utilizado cm processos de remoção de compostos orgânicos no tratamento dc águas residuárias industriais e remediação do meio ambiente.
