VEDANTE TERMOPLÁSTICO DE GRANDE DIÂMETROA presente invenção se refere a um anel de vedação incluindo uma soldadura e um material termoplástico. Essematerial termoplástico tem um alongamento até a ruptura da soldadura de, pelo menos, 3 ~o Esse material termoplástico pode ter uma temperatura de transição vítrea de, pelo menos, 100°C. O referido material termoplástico com a soldadura pode ter um alongamento até a ruptura da soldadura de, pelo menos, 3 % Esse anel de vedação pode ter uma circunferência de, pelo menos, 0,62 metros. O referido anel de vedação pode ter um coeficiente de atrito não superior a 0,45.
