Abstract
BACTÃRIA QUE PRODUZ 2-DESÃXI-SCILO-INOSOSE (DOI) E MÃTODO DE PRODUÃÃO DE 2-DESÃXI-SCILO-INOSOSE (DOI) POR UTILIZAÃÃO DA MESMA à revelada uma Escherichia coli produtora de 2-desóxi scilo-inosose (DOI), que, a partir de um grupo de genes de sacarose não-PTS, possui pelo menos um gene codificador de sacarose hidrolase (CSCA), e que é fornecida com um sistema de produção de DOI ou possui um sistema de produção de DOI aprimorado. A Escherichia coli preferivelmente ainda inclui um sistema para aumentar a capacidade de captação de açúcar. Também é revelado um método de produção de DOI a partir de uma matéria-prima derivada de planta que contém sacarose por utilização da Escherichia coli.
