MÃTODO PARA PRODUZIR UM POLIOL POLIMÃRICO, COPOLÃMERO E MISTURA.Poliestireno é dispersado em um poliol via um processo de dispersão mecânica. Um estabilizante está presente para estabilizar as partÃculas poliméricas dispersadas. O estabilizante inclui um copolÃmero de (1) de 10 a 70% em peso de um poliol ramificado que tem um peso molecular de 4. 000 a 20.000, de O, 2 a cerca de 1, 2 grupo etilenicamente insaturado polimerizável por molécula e de cerca de 3 a cerca de 8 grupos hidroxila por molécula com (2) de 30 a 90% em peso de estireno ou uma mistura de estireno e um ou mais outros monômeros de baixo peso molecular.
