Abstract
MÃTODO PARA A SELEÃÃO DE COMPOSTOS QUE INIBEM A NEURODEGENERAÃÃO. São apresentados métodos para a seleção de compostos que inibem a neurodegeneração. A liberação de APP pode ser um marcador útil da neurodegeneração e compostos que inibem a liberação de APP são úteis como inibidores da neurodegeneração. Tais compostos podem ser úteis no tratamento e/ou prevenção de diversas doenças neurológicas, distúrbios e danos neuronais e podem melhorar o crescimento, regeneração ou sobrevivência das células neuronais ou tecidos de mamÃferos.
