Formulações farmacêuticas de liberação prolongada são divulgadas em que as formulações contêm uma porção de liberação prolongada e uma porção de liberação imediata, a porção de liberação prolongada compreendendo um ingrediente farmaceuticamente ativo e uma cera. Métodos para fabricar tais formulações farmacêuticas de liberação prolongada também são divulgados.
