Este arnês (2) pode ter uma ou mais armaduras (2a)(2b) e possui um meio amortecedor (3) cujas paredes de amortecimento (3a) podem absorver impactos que afetem as paredes (la) do capacete (1) de aplicação. No caso que um impacto muito forte atravesse, afunde, deforme ou incida fortemente nas paredes (la) do capacete (1), as paredes de amortecimento (3a) estão preparadas para uma deformação progressiva que consegue amortecer o impacto de qualquer golpe.
