Os compósitos geotêxteis incluem uma camada de pré-filtro, uma camada de pós-filtro e pelo menos duas camadas de filtro intermediárias dispostas entre a camada de pré-filtro e a camada de pós filtro. Pelo menos um tela fibrosa que inclui fibras compósitas e partÃculas adsortivas é disposta entre as pelo menos duas camadas de filtro intermediárias. A tela fibrosa tem um componente estrutural, e um componente polimérico termicamente ligável.
