A frequência de transição é adaptada a um conteúdo espectral do sinal de áudio. Os furos espectrais no conjunto inicial de coeficientes espectrais abaixo da frequência de transição são preenchidos com ruÃdos (214) e o conjunto inicial de coeficientes espectrais é estendido em largura de banda (216) acima da frequência de transição. Decodificadores e codificadores sendo dispostos para realização de parte ou de todo o método também são ilustrados.
