A presente invenção se refere a um sal de ácido etilenodiamina dissuccÃnico compreendendo pelo menos o equivalente de 0,7 moles de magnésio por mol de ácido etilenodiamina dissuccÃnico, cujo sal está na forma de um sólido solúvel em água, não higroscópico. à também descrito um método de preparação de tais sais e seus usos.
