Abstract
MANIPULAÃÃO DE PLANTAS POR TRANSFORMAÃÃO COM SEQUENCIASPROMOTORAS DE DIVISÃO CELULAR.Foram identificados polinucleotÃdeos codificadores de polipeptÃdeos que aumentama taxa de crescimento de plantas. A introdução dos polinucleotÃdeos em plantas produz plantas com caracterÃsticas alteradas, tais como crescimento aumentado, érea foliar aumentada e menor fertilidade. A expressão dos polipeptÃdeos em plantas ou células de plantas promove a divisão celular. A expresso dos polinucleotÃdeos em plantas na orientação antisense pode produzir plantas que são estéreis ou que tenha folhas menores.
